MWAOHN Planning Committee
2008 Annual Report
The planning committee organized and managed the logistics and food
for the bimonthly educational programs. During this fiscal year, five
dinner/meetings were held at the Ford
Office Building
cafeteria, located on 3rd
St SW, Washington, DC, averaging 30 in attendance for each meeting. The majority of employees appreciated the
location – close to metro and free ground parking for attendees. The attendees also appreciated the food
choices that included both vegetarian and regular menus. The present caterers, Continental Services,
were not awarded the contract for upcoming fiscal year. Therefore, the planning committee will work
with MWAOHN members, requesting feedback regarding their choice for location,
menu, cost, etc.. We anticipate survey
results to be returned no later than May 30, 2008.

MWAOHN
Nominating Committee 2008 Annual Report
The nominating committee was
able to recommend one candidate each for the following positions: President,
Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Board of Directors, and Nominating
Committee. It would be great if we could offer our members a ballot of 2 or 3
candidates for each position from which to select. You can always talk to any
of the officers about their duties if you are interested in a position. The
ballots were sent by mail to members in a timely manner with directions
regarding the sealed ballots and the date they should be received by the
Chairman of Tellers.
