Almost 25% of American report fewer physician visits in current economic downturn
The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that according to a study by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, that almost 25% of Americans report going to fewer doctor visits to save money. Approximately 11% reported cutting back on prescription medications, or reducing the dosage to make the medicine last longer. This could have a significant impact on the number and level of severity of conditions workers present to the OHN.
