Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner SRA International, Inc.
Provides patient care to
employees in our Fairfax, VA
health center with flexibility to work in Arlington,
VA as needed.
The duties of the Nurse
Practitioner include but are not limited to:
Provides general medical care
and treatment to patients in health center under direction of Physician (located
off site); Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within
prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician; Orders, interprets and
evaluated diagnostic test to identify and assess patient's clinical problems
and health care needs; Records physical findings, and formulates treatment plan
and prognosis. Provides care instructions.
Coordinates with Physician and other health professional to prepare
comprehensive patient care plan; Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms
of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapy
procedures; Refers patients to physicians for consultation or to specialized
health resources for treatment; Educates and coaches nursing staff on best
nursing practices; Creates teaching materials; coordinating with other staff to
create new health related programs; Works with all Health Advocacy Programs to
recommend improvements, new programs, etc.Writes quarterly health articles for the employee magazine; Provides
Allergy shots.
