NP Honeywell - Chesterfield, VA

Honeywell's Resins and Chemicals business offers a robust product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities to a wide variety of customers worldwide. Products include the nylon feedstock caprolactam and other chemicals, ammonium sulfate fertilizers, specialty polymers, and textile fibers.

We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support our manufacturing facilities in the Chesterfield, VA areas.  

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.): 

  • Evaluate the health statue of new employees.
  • Evaluate the current status of Honeywell employees, i.e. periodic voluntary physicals, OSHA and other regulatory /mandatory physicals, including CDL, Respirator Certification
  • Evaluate and manage employees with both acute medical emergencies and minor illnesses.
  • Evaluate, assess and manage occupationally related health problems and coordinate the care with the appropriate site departments: HSE, HR, and Medical, as well as community resources: physicians, therapists, and insurance providers.
  • Provide consultation services for health care management to Honeywell employees.
  • Provide health-related educational services to Honeywell employees.
  • Participate in Honeywell Corporate and Regional Medical Center programs which promote employee health and wellness.
  • Provide assistance in all administrative duties: Disability Case Management, Drug Screening Program, and others as assigned.
  • Conduct needs assessments as appropriate.
  • Use statistical tools to monitor trends and drive change.
  • Provide site visits at the Hopewell and Colonial Heights medical departments.
  • Supportive of the 12 Honeywell Behavioral Skills
  • Shared on-call for the Regional Medical Center

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, per Honeywell standards as well as federal, state, and nationally recognized certifying body standards. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Basic Qualifications (Mandatory): 

  • Master's Degree Required.
  • 3 years recent experience in a clinical or occupational health setting.
  • Current Virginia Registered Nurse licensure
  • Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner licensure
  • Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner Prescriptive authority (or eligibility)
  • ANP/FNP Certification by a nationally recognized certifying body, i.e. ANCC
  • BOP/DEA eligible

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • CPR/ACLS certified
  • Proven leadership skills.  Ability to perform as Regional Medical Center Leader as delegated.
  • Strong ability to participate as a team member as well as individually leading teams and projects.
  • Occupational Health/Disability Management experience helpful but not required.
  • Independent decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects/duties as assigned
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Adept at prioritizing department needs.
