A community hospital in the DC/MD area has an
exciting opening for a Director of Infection Control and Employee
Health. They are seeking a nurse leader to join their management team
to direct the development and implementation of an Infection Control and
Employee Health program.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of Joint Commission and licensure standards
Assures that monitoring, evaluation and training
of prevention of infections is ongoing
Submits summary reports of the findings to the
Medical Staff via Quality Management and the Infection Control Committee
Writes quarterly summary for submission to the
Quality Assessment and Improvement Committee for review and approval as well as
annual summary for the Board of Trustees Executive Committee
Manages Infection Control and Employee Health
Departments
Requirements:
Registered
Nurse
Must
be certified as an Infection Control Practitioner
Minimum
of five years RN experience in an acute healthcare setting
3
years leadership/management experience
3
years experience as an Infection Control Practitioner
